Exciting Malbec Reserve available online
With spring around the corner, my mind drifts to the beautiful days spent in Argentina last year. Specially those afternoons spent eating and sipping great wine. I discovered it while travelling through the roads of Mendoza, and I instantly developed a liking for it the moment I tasted it.
The wine I’m talking about is Toneles del Sur Malbec Reserve 2008. This wine goes well with every occasion and It’s one of those quintessential wines of that region that carry a leathery smoky aroma with hints of spice. The interesting eclectic taste is complemented by a vivid dark crimson color and beautiful tears and is proof of the extreme good care the grapes have received. The wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes and is kept for 12 months in French Oak of 1st and 2nd year for developing this fine and robust taste. It was perfect with my juicy steak.
It hails from the famous Lujan de Cuyo area of Mendoza which is at 2900 feet above sea level and the area has some of the best managed vineyards. One of them Jose Enrique Esley’s Toneles del Sur wines. They are densely planted and dry farmed vines that were imported from France and Italy. Because of the cool sunny days and diurnal temperature variations, properly tended grapes mature slowly and beautifully and give us that beautiful dark cherry color.
Today, when I opened my moleskin notebook with the wine details, I chanced upon this Toneles del Sur Malbec Reserve that I had particularly enjoyed and re-discovered it online at Dare2Wine and it is available in California.
The wine overall feels smooth and appropriate for all special occasions. With a rating of 90 pts by Wine Enthusiast is a choice that everybody enjoys. Argentinian wines Online
